Publish PostThat was the percentage of voters in the general election for city council here in Asheville.
They say people get the government they deserve, perhaps this is so.
Maybe things are lots better than I believe.
Maybe pigs will fly tomorrow.
Who knows?
All I know is the next time I walk down a street here, sit in traffic, go to an event....whatever; I will know that for each of me there are four freeloaders on the system of government nearby.
I hope they are satisfied with the results of their inaction.

Hi Bill,
Great to see you last night.
My e-mail is all over Mt.X, so I'll just give it to you:

Some might see 80% not voting for the elections as apathy. I prefer to see the outcome as, at least unconsciously, as a vote for none of the above, a vote for no elections, and a vote for no city or county government to elect the to.
Johnny, that is a good point, and I, for one, would like to see that as an option on an election.
That would be interesting.
